Handwritten inscription: Inventaire des meubles appartenans au roi et meublans le Château des Thuileries France, second half of the 18th century Copper engraving and brown ink, on paper, engraving pasted on a blue cardboard with ink and gilding frame; stamp "CE" on the front, repeated twice on the back. Dimensions: 225 x 370 mm In the medallion, a profile bust of the king (Louis XV, after the profile by Bouchardon or after Bachelier?). We have found no trace of a printed work bearing this frontispiece. Stamp in the lower right corner, first and last letter (BY) of the name "Beurdeley": Alfred-Emmanuel Beurdeley (Coll. Frits Lugt, L. 421). Beudeley Collection (indication on the back). Alfred-Emmanuel Beurdeley (1847-1919) was an important collector of art and prints, from a dynasty of antique dealers and cabinetmakers based at the Pavillon de Hanovre on the Boulevard des Italiens. Alfred-Emmanuel Beurdeley's art collection consisted of more than 28,000 prints. He sold his collection of architectural and ornamental drawings and the Central Academy of Technical Drawing of Baron Stieglitz in St. Petersburg acquired them. After the revolution of 1917, this collection became part of the Hermitage Museum.
