CHINE de COMMANDE - Lot 75
CHINE de COMMANDE Very rare pair of porcelain groups representing a deer lying on a mound looking at a bird perched on a tree stump topped by a monkey holding a peach of longevity. These animal groups are decorated in famille rose enamels "au naturel": the deer with brown and pink fur, the bird and the tree treated in polychrome, the monkey's fur in iron red and the base of the mound in turquoise blue. Quianlong period (1736-1795). Restoration to the antlers of the deer. H : 22 - L : 20 cm Chinese porcelain zoomorphic groups have been very successful in the West; we know models with deer alone, groups of birds with one or more and finally monkeys. The meeting of the three juxtaposed together is exceptional.
