Painting mounted on a scroll with ink and polychrome on paper decorated with flowering branches and birds to evoke longevity. Signed in the upper right corner Gao Hongfu (1917 - ?). Dim. 97,5.x 49,5 cm (tear and folds) It is joined : CHINA, Late Qing Period, Couple of magpies on a tulip tree signed Yun Bing. 157,5 x 43 cm N.B. Neither the date of birth nor the date of death of this female artist is known, but she would have been a known artist during the reigns of Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang. The literary translation of the scroll is "The first flowers of Spring attract the beautiful birds, next to the pagoda you will find the most beautiful poems".
