Signed lower left, possibly by another hand: Degas. 33 x 46 cm This painting is probably the last sketch Degas painted before Smith College Museum of Art, Northampton, Massachusetts, USA. Confirmation of authenticity by Michel Schulman. Provenance: -Atelier Degas, Paris, probably in lot no. 6B of the sale containing several studies for Jephté. -Collection of P.G. -In the latter's family.
