[LEGRAND, Louis] - RAMIRO. Faune parisienne. Paris, Gustave Pellet, 1901. 1 vol. in-4. Havana morocco, two raised bands with gilt fillet, gilt title and authors, gilt edges on witnesses, red morocco lining in a frame of Havana and black morocco with gilt fillets and gilt motifs in the corners, double painted paper endpapers, illustrated covers and spine preserved [BERNARD].
Limited edition of 130 numbered copies on Arches vellum, watermarked with the publisher's name, this one no. 90.
Contrary to what is stated in the prospectus, which is reproduced in extenso in the bibliography, the work includes 20 original etchings by Louis Legrand (not 21), including the cover, as well as 40 drawings in the text by the same artist, wood-engraved by Lemoine.
With a double state of the etchings, including the cover.
