AFTER EDGAR DEGAS Danseuse lisant le journal près du poêle, plate from the suite de Quinze lithographies, circa 1888, lithograph by William Thornley, 33 x 24.5 cm, margins 61 x 47.5 cm, fine proof printed on chine rosé pasted on greenish wove paper, signed lower right by Thornley and lower left by Degas, edition probably 25 proofs ahead of the letter, edition stamped at 100 proofs, slightly yellowed, thumbtack holes in the corners, tiny lack in the upper edge of the margin.
