Naval officer's pistol by Dumares Blanchon in Toulon. Round-bodied flintlock locks with swan-neck hammers, outlined with silver fillet around the rim. They are signed Dumares Blanchon and marked with two crossed navy anchors. Double barrel, carved walnut stock and brass fittings. Wooden ramrod and nail-type iron head. Overall length: 29 cm France, circa 1780. Category D weapon.
