This is the second edition of the Latin translation by William Dundass. The English original appeared in Oxford in 1697 and the first Latin edition in 1739. This edition consists of a frontispiece and 120 plates, each with its description, of which one is unnumbered (complement to plate 10), 105 numbered from 1 to 105, 9 numbered from 1 to 9 and 5 at the end numbered from 1 to 5 spread over 4 leaves. Cowper is the author of only the 9 plates of Myology, the first 106 being those of Bidloo found in his 1685 collection entitled Anatomia humani corporis.
