ARAGON (Louis).

The Tour de France. P.A.S. "Aragon". S.l.n.d. (summer 1947). Two pages in-4, traced on the back of pages of headed paper of the daily newspaper ''Le soir'', then twinned with the weekly ''Miroir Sprint'', directed by Georges Pagnoud. Scratches and slight smudges. Article requested by the daily newspaper to be inserted in its chronicles: "The Tour ... it's tonight that they leave! All the years of my childhood (I lived in Neuilly) that evening was a magical date... The passage of the competitors with their supporters in the warm night, the sort of great familiarity of the crowd, all this had the character of a festival of the beginning of summer... A lesson in national energy, the violent desire to overcome nature and one's own body, the exaltation of all for the best ... which every year shows that France is alive, and that the Tour is indeed the Tour de France". Joint, three short texts also written on the Tour de France addressed to this same daily newspaper by BOURVIL: "As I say in my Tour de France song "À Bicyclette", I have never done the Tour de France ... but I have done laps, detours, contours ... Bourvil's laps if I dare to express myself in this way! ... It's stupid ! Huh!"
