Defects: wetness, tears The family of Banne d'Avéjan is an ancient family that takes its name from the land of Banne, in the diocese of Viviers. St Privat de Champclos has the ruins of the castle of Ferreyroles. Built on a rocky outcrop overlooking a meander of the Cèze gorges, the castle, a stronghold in the Middle Ages, was intended to protect the lands of the Dukes of Banne.
