Compilation made c. 1910-1920 1 vol. in-4, 28 pp + c. 170 ff. Paperback, blind cover. Dimensions : 175 x 220 mm. Captain Cherriere of the Régiment de Sapeurs-pompiers has made an important work of compilation and interpretation of sources related to the Ile Louviers. There are handwritten sheets of notes copied from various books and cuttings from booksellers' catalogues, with numerous quotations from the "Mémoires de la Société de l'Histoire de la ville de Paris", the "Topographie historique de la seigneurie de Bercy" by Charles-Henri de Malon etc. Several notes were taken in the National Archives. Eight (8) handwritten plans showing the Ile Louviers, some of which were made by Cherrière, including a large folding plan on tracing paper "Plan of the Ile Louvier and of the sites intended for various wood burning sites".
