DIGNITARY SWORD OF THE SECOND EMPIRE ATTRIBUTED TO HENRI SIMÉON. Gilt bronze and mother-of-pearl mounting. Olive pommel with floral decoration surrounded by four friezes. Joint arc in beam maintained by a frieze of olive branches winding around, quillon slightly curved. Keyboard in the form of a shield with an imperial eagle on a thunderbolt and amatite background. Mother-of-pearl plates decorated with the line. White blade with triangular section by Couleau in Klingenthal. Leather scabbard (accidents) with two gilded brass fittings. Gusseted cap with rocaille decoration, chiseled floral decoration, spherical stinger. Total length 92 cm. France, Second Empire period. It is accompanied by a chased brass plate marked " Henri Cte Siméon Senator of the Empire 1803-1874 ". HENRI SIMÉON 1803-1874 Son of Joseph Balthazar Siméon Pair de France.
