COURT SWORD, SECOND EMPIRE ATTRIBUTED TO HENRI SIMÉON. Bronze mount with donkey steps. Round pommel with floral decoration, the joint arc with a radiant sun motif, the donkey step and the inverted quillons are in imitation of a bundle maintained by foliage scrolls. The body knot is decorated with a laurel wreath and the spindle is made of filigree wood (accident). Symmetrical top decorated with a scalloped guard. Straight blade with triangular section of Solingen, engraved, gilded and blued in third. Leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings. Plain gusset with stylized acanthus leaf decoration. Bouterolle engraved in suite, spherical dart. Total length 95 cm. France, Second Empire period. It is accompanied by a chased brass plate marked " Henri Joseph Edgar Cte Siméon 1er secrétaire d'ambassade ". HENRI SIMÉON 1828-1808. Son of Henri Siméon. 1st Secretary of embassy in Bern, Switzerland.
