A circular porcelain bowl decorated on the outer wall in blue underglaze with two dragons searching for the sacred pearl among the clouds, wavelets at the base. Bears on the reverse a four-character mark THIÊU TRI NIÊN TAO. Emperor Thiêu Tri (1807-1847) was the third sovereign of the Nguyen dynasty. He ascended the throne in 1841, until 1847.
