Two beautiful circular porcelain cups decorated in blue underglaze with a bird in the center near the trunk of a flowering prunus, the branches of the latter around the edge, the petals of the flowers with secret decorations. They bear a QIANLONG mark in zhuanshu on the reverse. They are encircled by a silver ring on the border.
18th / 19th century
Diameter: 20 cm (One bowl damaged)
The "secret decoration" here lies in the transparency of the petals of prunus, only revealed in the light.
