Very rare octagonal porcelain tray on pedestal decorated in blue underglaze with a dragon in the center of the display treated in scroll framed by four characters THIÊU TRI NIÊN TAO, surrounded by eight dragons and a frieze of mushrooms lingzhi in edge. Eight dragons at the base of the pedestal with a double frieze of lingzhi. It is adapted from a silvered metal net on the edge of the tray. On the reverse side engraved palace mark. Emperor Thiêu Tri (1807-1847) was the third ruler of the Nguyen dynasty. He ascended the throne in 1841, until 1847. 19th century H. 12 cm; Diameter: 21 cm (some small enamel chips on the reverse side of the tray)
