Oval cap with laurel crown decoration. Arch of joint connecting the openwork plate with plant decoration. Quillon in the form of a drop.
Straight double-edged blade with three gutters marked on the plate "Mre d'armes de Chat mars 1877, O Supérieur M1855".
Damascus steel scabbard with a strap (refixed).
