Chased, engraved or gilt bronze HANGING BOX in the form of an irregular octagonal base; the panels in tables engraved with the names of the principal navigators or explorers and their dates; the cover presents a head of zephyr in clouds; two mobile panels in opposition allow the access to the back of the movement and to its winding. Second half of the 19th century (missing, pierced and formerly mounted as a lamp). H : 30 cm.
