Cinnabar lacquer covered box in the shape of a longevity peach with finely carved decoration of a sage and his servant in a central medallion on the lid, surrounded by peony flowers. A frieze of bats and longevity peaches completes the ornamentation.
Lacquer chips and wear on reverse.
