TAVERNIER in PARIS Large chased gilt bronze officer's clock decorated with garlands of foliage. The white enamelled dial shows the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. It indicates the days of the week and the date on rotating circles. An enamel cartouche bears the signature of the watchmaker Tavernier in Paris. Early Louis XVI period. 22 x 12.5 x 10.5 cm. (chips on the dial)
