JAPAN, END OF THE 19th CENTURY. Pair of flared-neck baluster vases in red, blue and white porcelain with gold highlights, decorated with children and geometric motifs in medallions. Calligraphic inscriptions of "happiness" and "longevity" complete the ornamentation. Nichi-hi-zan mark, made by Fukagawa Seisu (1834-1899). H. 27 cm.
