Imperial almanac in miniature format, the yellow silk cover decorated with calligraphy in black ink, in a cartouche on a red background "ngự lịch (御曆)", the surround with embroidered motifs of Greek friezes.
N.B. This small pocket format seems to be a unique model for which we cannot provide a plausible explanation and history. During the reign of the last emperor, a new format may have been tried out, but never followed up.
