Vietnam, 20th century, Orange-yellow silk gauze court coat known as "Ao Nhât Binh", lined with orange silk, with brocade-style decoration in monochrome beige, blue, green and gold highlights, of peony flowers in medallions, among Buddhist emblems including wheel of the law, parasol, conch and precious "Bao vât" objects including (fan, vase of immortality...). The seven-phoenix collar rests on a beige silk background, and inlaid glassware completes the ornamentation. The sleeve ends are sewn with two bands of stylized floral motifs. Wear, pulled threads.
