China, early 20th century, Blue silk tunic, decorated with gold-thread embroidery of prunus and peony flowers among butterflies and mirrored half-cabochons. The collar and sleeve ends are embroidered with gold thread, enhanced with blue and green motifs of flowers, precious objects (fan, gourd, etc.) and calligraphic symbols evoking longevity on a parma and water-green background.
