Vietnam, 20th century, Important white, blue and yellow silk hanging, decorated with calligraphy in black velvet encircled by gold thread in a cartouche "1938 under the reign of Bao Dai", the cartouche's circumference inlaid with glassware on a blue background, the border embroidered with polychrome and gold thread of floral compositions, calligraphy, butterflies and Buddhist emblems. Stains on reverse. Size: 180 x 89.5 cm
