China, 19th century, A pair of large pan-shaped vases, with long flared necks on small heels, in cloisonné enamel on copper with polychrome decoration on a blue ground, of magpies on magnolias, quails among bamboos and chrysanthemums, butterflies among peonies and cabbages. The bases are adorned with lotus petals, an endless bow and bats. A garland of ruyi heads around the necks completes the ornamentation. One is damaged. H. 72 cm
