South China, Vietnam, circa 1920, Oval-shaped perfume burner on pedestal in bronze and copper with a gilded patina, the rim decorated with Greek friezes adorned with swastikas, calligraphy and stylized motifs, the lid decorated with the eight trigrams or "Bat Quai" in Vietnamese and calligraphy relating to the twelve animals of the zodiac. The lid is in the shape of a dragon with one horn and a fish tail. The lid is dented, the heel is damaged and worn. Size: 27 x 37 cm
