China, late 19th century, A large baluster-shaped vase in porcelain and polychrome enamels, decorated in reserve with four medallions, two of which are floriform with birds and flowers, and two rectangular, depicting a ceremony on the terrace of a treehouse, with musicians, dignitaries, servants and others, against a background of lotus flowers, bats and foliage. Two Buddhist lion heads, holding half-relief rings forming handles. Accident to neck, crack, enamel wear. H. 60.5 cm
