China, late 19th century, Large baluster vase, in white porcelain, with coral enameled decoration of Buddhist lions around a wrapped ball. A calligraphic poem completes the ornamentation. The neck is inscribed with "happiness" calligraphy and flanked by four Buddhist lions in relief forming handles. Firing defects and starry bottom. H. 60 cm
