Pair of large baluster-shaped vases with hemmed corolla necks, in Famille Rose porcelain and enamels, decorated on one side of the body with monkeys perched on a branch of longevity peach and pine, one seated on a pierced rock surrounded by lingzhi, holding a longevity peach, above which four bees are flying, the other side decorated with two perched birds, surrounded by chrysanthemum flowers. Stylized banana leaves garland the heel. Four chilongs in half-relief adorn the base of the neck. The handles take the form of two Buddhist lions in half-relief, facing each other around a ball.
European gilt bronze mounting.
