Sèvres, Manufacture Royale - Lot 186
Sèvres, Manufacture Royale Calabrian teapot and lid decorated with red and blue barbs surrounded by lattice foliage and later overdecorated with gold garland and blue stippling. Marked in blue on the reverse with two interlaced L's, "S" for 1771 and the painter's mark "Pe" for Jacques PIERRE l'ainé. Refinished grip, chip on the spout, crack on the bottom of the teapot. Two litron cups and their overdecorated saucers also marked 18th and 19th centuries. H. 12.5 cm (Teapot) ; H. 6 cm (Cups) ; D. 12 cm (Saucers).
