Japan, Seto, Meiji period (1868-1912). Baluster-shaped covered vase in brown and green enameled porcelain, decorated in three registers, the upper part monochrome green enameled, the middle part beige brown enameled, adorned with medallions of various shapes in light relief, with peony, chrysanthemum, lotus flower motifs...The handle of the cover takes the shape of a blooming flower. Marked on the reverse with Kawamoto Masukichi (1852-1918), one of Seto's leading ceramists. Accident on the neck, firing defect on the heel. H. 32 cm Lot presented by Cabinet Ansas, Papillon de Léry.
