HERALDISM.
Vegetable dish lid and interior in silver-plated metal.
The handle is shaped like a pomegranate.
The lid is engraved with the coat of arms of the Dukes of Mouchy (Marshal of France...).
Within a canopy, two club-carrying giants frame an oval shield crowned with a ducal coronet "Gules, a bend Or", surmounted by the motto "Loedimur Haud Aura Lethali" ("We are practically invulnerable").
H. 15 cm.
Diameter: 22.5 cm.
The Dukes of Mouchy are a younger branch of the Noailles family, founded in 1747.
