Firenze, nella Stamperia Mouckiana, 1756. 1 vol large in-folio. Full red morocco, wide gilt frame with corner finial, large gilt coat of arms at center of boards, ornate spine, gilt title and author, gilt edges over marbled boards. VIIpp, 326pp, [1]f. Volume III only. Museum florentinum is a work written by Tuscan nobles gathered in the aggregation Nuovi Soci del Museo Fiorentino, dedicated to Jean-Gaston de Médicis, last Grand Duke of Tuscany of the Medici lineage. On his death in 1737, François de Lorraine took possession of the Duchy. The entire work, in 12 volumes in folio, was published from 1731 to 1766, enriched with 220 engraved illustrations. Title vignette, lettrines and culs-de-lampe designed by Dom. Campiglia. Copy on large wove paper with the coat of arms of François I de Lorraine. This is the dedicatee of the work. Rubbing to binding. Black marks on coat of arms.
