Full red morocco, smooth spine decorated with gilt floral irons, mosaicked with green morocco pastilles, gilt title and tomaison, gilt lace framing the boards, internal garland and on the edges, double purple cloth endpapers, with framing floral garland on the lining, gilt edges, binding signed at foot [BOZERIAN]. Spine slightly faded.
Title pages in red and black, 6 title-frontispices engraved by L. F. D. B. (Du Bourg), engraved vignettes on title pages and culs-de-lampe by P. Yver, 8 plates engraved by Coster.
3 added unsigned plates, including a portrait of Cicero and one of Caesar, noted in handwriting on a flyleaf of the 1st volume: "quelques portraits et figures ajoutés" ("some portraits and figures added").
