[HOMOSEXUALITY] Inversions ... in art, literature; history, - Lot 146
[HOMOSEXUALITY] Inversions ... in art, literature; history, philosophy and science. Paris, March 1, 1925. 2nd year, n°4. Paris, 1 rue Bougainville, 1925. 1 in-folio journal. 32.5 x 25.5 cm. In sheets, pale yellow printed covers. From 49 to 64pp. Manager: G. Beyria. Second homosexual magazine in French (after Akademos published in 1909). Only four issues appeared monthly: November 15, 1924 - December 15, 1924 - February 1, 1925 and March 1, 1925. We present the last issue. The magazine, initiated by Gustave Léon Beyria and Gaston Ernest Henri Lestrade, clearly states its objective in the first issue: "It is only right that we should devote ourselves entirely to the defense of homosexuals, since we are the only magazine to date to have set itself this goal". An investigation was opened against manager G. Inversions changed its title to L'Amitié in April 1925, but disappeared after this single issue. Uncut copy.
