Bound in brown calf, gilt coat of arms in the centre of the boards, framed by cold fillets with gilt fleurons in the spandrels, spine with ornamented nerves. 22] ff, 532ff, [55] ff. Numerous woodcuts in text and three full-page figures. Title page and some leaves printed in red and black. Some extracts highlighted in ink. Pagination error: the numbering passes from leaves 424 to 445, without missing. > Binding with the coat of arms of an unidentified brotherhood. Handwritten ex-libris on the title page: Conventis sistaricensis ordinis pradicatorum. Armorial bookplate pasted on the upper back cover: Edouard de Laplane. Mottling in the lower margin, with brown stain in the lower corner of some leaves, browning that reaches the text at the end of the volume. Small hole in the last leaf with damage to the text. Binding slightly unbound. Rubbing to the binding, especially to the spines, arms on the second plate partly erased.
