LE GRAS, Simon.
Procès-verbal du sacre du Roy Louis Quatorze du nom, fait par illustrissime Monseigneur et reverendissime Monseigneur Simon Le Gras, evesque de Soissons. Soissons, N. Hanisset, 1694. 1 vol. in-8. Full red morocco, gilt arms in the centre of the boards, triple gilt fillet with corner fleurons, ornate ribbed spine, gilt title, gilt roulette on the edges, gilt edges. This piece establishes in an unquestionable way the right of the bishops of Soissons to crown our kings, in default of the archbishops of Rheims. > Copy of Achille III de Harlay, count of Beaumont, lord of Grosbois. "He bequeathed his splendid library to the Jesuits' college in Paris". The printed signature of the dedication preface has been crossed out and a handwritten signature is found: Fabio. From Soissons. The booklet itself is signed by Driencourt, taken as secretary of Monseigneur l'Evêque de Soissons. Nice copy. O.H.R. pl. 744, n°3
