New edition, established on the one of 1635, the translations of the quotations are placed for the first time opposite the text (Tchemerzine).
Complete with the famous frontispiece portrait of Michel de Montaigne and the large title vignette by Daret. This edition contains the "Epistre de Mademoiselle de Gournay" and its preface. Large vignette by Daret on the title page in red and black.
