I/ [4] ff, 279pp, 18 plates, [1] f. for the frontispiece ; II/ 454 pp, 15 plates ; III/ 254 pp, [13] ff table. 45 plates. Complete with frontispiece portrait and 79 engraved plates (one plate noted 58bis The two folding plates 74 and 76 should include plates 75 and 77 in length. They are not numbered). Most esteemed edition, largely original, of the best description of 17th century Persia. Some plates inverted. Slight browning to some plates, some spotting in the text. Missing some headpieces, missing corners, small missing nerve. Tear to plate 38, not missing. Part of plate 75 must be missing. Brunet, I, 1802.
