Inscription on the back: "Mongol, Combas, is a contemporain Tarass Bulbà le con de ta race (modi(s)te)" 41 x 24.5 cm Tarass Boulba is a historical novel by Nicolas Gogol, published in 1843, which tells the story of a valiant and bellicose Ukrainian hero who took part in the fighting against the Polish forces.
