[ART DECO - WALLPAPER]
ALBUM D'ÉCHANTILLONS DE PAPIERS PEINTINTS DE LA MAISON PAUL GRUIN. Paris, Paul Gruin, 1936-1937. 1 vol. in-folio oblong. 29 x 45 cm. Red percale, title in palladium on front cover.
Indication on front cover: "P. G Paris, 1936-1937, registered trademark and cover".
Important album containing around 240 wallpaper samples, some with matching friezes, offering an interesting panorama of the different graphic styles that could adorn Parisian interiors in the mid-1930s.
Contains samples from their "vieilles laques" range initiated in 1927, "Fixaluminor" created in 1928 and "Sana-Lux" washable wallpapers in 1929. Some samples are accompanied by a small vignette depicting the wallpaper in context in a room of the house, and on the back by information on installation.
Nice set despite a few small stains.
