Luxurious senior officer's saber model 1855. Gilt bronze and horn mount. Oval cap with laurel crown decoration. Arch of joint connecting the openwork plate with plant decoration. Quillon in the form of a drop. Straight double-edged blade with three gutters marked on the plate "Mre d'armes de Chat mars 1877, O Supérieur M1855". Damascus steel scabbard with a strap (refixed). Total length: 97 cm. France, Third Republic period.
